Naval Air Station
Meridian, Mississippi is home to one of only two Jet Naval Aviator training facilities in the country. A student Naval Aviator wearing his or her flight suit will lead the tour in which students have the opportunity to see a jet up close, and even climb a ladder to look inside the cockpit!
Students will also tour the air traffic control tower as well as the simulator building. The simulators are used in jet training and are sure to impress any video game fan!
Each simulator is housed in a room with a model cockpit, massive projection screen, and several computers used for adding in wind, rain and even fires while the Navy students fly!
